     LeRoy Collins Jr. was the son of Mary Call Collins and Florida Governor LeRoy Collins. LeRoy Jr. spent much of his life at The Grove while living with his family. He graduated from Leon High School, where he was student body president and model student like his father before him.[1] In 1956 he graduated from the Naval Academy. In 1959, he married Carol Jane Sisson from Tampa.[2] Together, they had four children: Carol Jane, Helen Call, LeRoy Collins III, and Edward Sisson Collins. He served in the navy for 34 years in both the Nuclear Submarine Service and Naval Intelligence, retiring in 1990. In addition to his military service, LeRoy Collins, Jr. was a prominent businessman, assisting with the introduction of credit cards in Florida and became founder and president of the Armed Forces Financial Network, expanding ATM services to military bases worldwide. He had a brief political career, running for US Senate in 2006 and serving as the executive director of the Florida Department of Veteran Affairs. In the last years of his life, he founded the Florida Veterans Foundation, Inc.[3] LeRoy Collins, Jr. was buried in the Call-Collins Family Cemetery at The Grove in 2010.
