Mary Louisa "Mina" Long

14 August 1849 – 28 March 1857

     Mary Louisa Long was the first daughter of Ellen Call Long and Medicus Long. In 1853, Ellen wrote to her son and Mina’s brother, Richard Call Long, entrusting him with Mina’s care should Ellen pass before Mina reached adulthood.[1] This would never come to pass, as Mina died at the age of eight, two years following the death of her sister Ellen Douglass Long. The cause of death is unknown.[2]
